JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Budget / Finance / Procurement Administrator performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Participates in the preparation of budgets for the program.
Performs and / or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles and variance analysis.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
Extensive experience with spreadsheet tools, i.e., MS Excel.
Thorough understanding of the customer's budget planning and contracts processes, and ability to make budgetary recommendations.
Work with the customer, Contract Program Manager, and Deputy Program Manager to estimate, propose, develop, track, and implement the budget for the program based on customer direction.
Detail-oriented and meticulous in the development, tracking, and reporting of budget-related items.
Significant experience with presentation and word processing software to integrate tables and graphics into presentations and reports.
Conduct research to develop pricing estimates for software and hardware, including obtaining quotes from multiple vendors.
Maintain correspondence suspense files, records, and files for reports, operating procedures, internal memorandums, and compose correspondence.
Self-directing and self-paced; completes tasks without direction.
EDUCATION :
Master of Science degree with three years of professional experience.
Bachelor of Science degree, or vendor / professional certification with a minimum of six years of professional experience.
No degree with a minimum of nine years of professional experience.
Must have an active TS / SCI clearance with full scope polygraph for this position.
