What this Job Entails :
The Software Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products. They will also develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms.
Scope :
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Your Roles and Responsibilities :
Provide administration, development, and application support for end usersDesign, develop, code, test and debug system softwareDesign and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to deploymentReview code and designConfigure and integrate third-party software components and technologiesPerform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other issues related to how technical solutions operate in customer environmentsAddress and resolve escalated software bugs and bug reproduction requests; logging of all incidents and requests; engaging other service desk resources or appropriate service resources to resolve incidents that are beyond the scope of their ability or responsibilityLog and track incidents and requests from identification through to resolution as per established policiesProvide limited after hours and on-call support as neededLead the review and development of test documentationTrain and mentor othersWork with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on projects and initiativesOther duties as required. Bachelor's degree (B.S / B.A) from four-college or university and 8 years' related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceNetworks with key contacts outside own area of expertiseDetermines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnelExperience working with various development programsAbility to quickly learn customer support processes, tools and techniquesUnderstanding of how to configure third-party software components and technologiesAbility to perform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other issuesExcellent communication skills in English (both speaking and writing)Ability to collaborate and work remotely including use of communication toolsAbility to multi-task and self-organize including prioritization of activitiesExperience using monitoring systemsAttention to detailPreferred Qualifications :
