Astria Health is seeking a Patient Access and Financial Services Manager to join our team!

As the Patient Access and Financial Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing patient access operations at two hospital facilities and direct management of patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk activities, ensuring efficient and patient-centered access to healthcare services. You will:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the patient access team, including registration, admissions, and scheduling staff, to ensure a seamless patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance patient access workflows, reduce wait times, and increase patient satisfaction.
- Staff Training & Development: Oversee the training and development of staff, ensuring they understand patient access procedures, technology, and compliance requirements.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA) and organizational policies. Maintain high levels of accuracy in patient records and billing information.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as wait times, registration accuracy, and patient satisfaction, and develop strategies to improve results.
- Patient Communication: Foster a positive environment for patients, responding promptly to inquiries, addressing complaints and ensuring a smooth and compassionate registration and admission process.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Work closely with other departments (billing, clinical teams, IT) to resolve issues, implement technology solutions, and ensure alignment across patient access functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
- Minimum of five years of experience with patient access operations.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership position in acute care hospital operations, managing the registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency of HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
- Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
