Duties
As the Patient Access Specialist , you will be responsible for performing insurance-related administrative and functional duties for the organization. You will:
- Perform patient registration for appointments, admissions, and procedures. Collect patient demographic and insurance information.
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Collect any monies, payments and completes receipts with accuracy.
- Accurately enter patient information into the healthcare system's database.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, patient privacy laws, and institutional policies.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient service delivery.
- Answers internal and external telephone calls in a professional and polite manner. Transfers calls accurately to its destination.
- Performs other duties as assigned

What You Bring To The Role
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Two or more years' experience in medical billing, software or claims processing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes, and healthcare billing practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with data entry and software systems.
- Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Oral and written fluency in the English language.
