Position Overview
Astria Therapeutics is dedicated to bringing hope with life-changing therapies to patients and families affected by allergic and immunological diseases. Astria’s pipeline includes our lead program, navenibart (STAR-0215), a monoclonal antibody inhibitor of plasma kallikrein in clinical development for the treatment of hereditary angioedema, as well as STAR-0310, an OX40 monoclonal antibody antagonist currently in preclinical development for atopic dermatitis (AD) and being explored for other allergic and immunological diseases.
The Publications Manager/Sr. Manager is responsible for the execution of medical, scientific and digital publications included in disease publication plans. The Manager/Sr. Manager will work closely with the Publications Lead to ensure quality, accuracy and consistent scientific narrative flow. This key contributor will be responsible for managing publication logistics with the vendor(s) where applicable.

The Manager/Sr. Manager will work closely with the Publications Lead to ensure quality, accuracy and consistent scientific narrative flow. This key contributor will be responsible for managing publication logistics with the vendor(s) where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and drafting of medical, scientific, and digital publications included in disease publication plans.
- Serve as the lead writer to write and revise, high-quality, content across a range of projects (i.e., manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks).
- Coordinate the review/approval of publications, abstracts, and presentations.
- Support the scientific communication strategy activities at medical congresses, including meeting planner and executive summaries.
- Support the scientific communications plans with timely updates.
- Manage publication logistics with the vendor(s) where applicable, to ensure each publication is executed on time, within budget and with exceptional quality.
- Assist in the development of materials for strategic publication planning meetings.
- Ensure project information is complete (i.e., SharePoint), accurate and up to date in publication records and resourcing tools.
- Review publications in development to ensure quality and alignment with any established plans or guidance documents (e.g., Scientific Communication Platform, Medical Affairs Plan, lexicon, etc.)
- Partner with HEOR, Medical, Clinical, Scientific, Legal and Regulatory colleagues to develop assigned publications within the disease publication plans.
- Ensure compliance with internal publication policy and external publication guidelines.
- Other duties as periodically assigned.
- Minimum of Master’s degree; PharmD, PhD. Preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience; preferably, a minimum of 2-3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
- Demonstrated success supporting tactical publication plan execution (including but not limited to manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) while maintaining timelines and budgets, ensuring incorporation of input from key stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal functions and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Clear understanding of the current publication environment, ICMJE, GPP3, and other guidelines related to publications; scientific data communications; and transparency (transfer of value) standards.
- Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to provide direction and oversight to vendors if needed.
- Ability to adapt to new processes with a professional, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize complex information, and be an effective problem solver.
- Solution-oriented, with a keen eye to foresee and address potential publication-related issues, or mediate solutions when issues occur.
- Ability to understand and interpret medical data, with general knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques.
- Approximately 25% travel is required.
