Your typical day - Our MDA engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts - military, government civilians, and contractors from Astrion and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development, analysis and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems. You will be part of the team that conducts successful intercepts of target missiles by one of our Missile Defense System (MDS) weapon systems.
This position requires a highly motivated basic engineer/analyst supporting the Director of Flight Test at Redstone Arsenal, Al. Candidate will report daily activities and products to Director of Flight Test Execution (DTFE), which has the overall responsibility for the development of checklist, calendars and element integration, leading to the execution of MDA missions and supporting events. This position will provide programmatic, technical, and analytical reports to various Mission Test Directors throughout the planning and execution of complex missions. MDA Flight test experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities
- Develop mission checklists that provide real time updates to various stakeholders and mission assets.
- Support all phases of test planning, training and execution of Tier 1/2/3 test environments in accordance with current Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Perform programmatic analyst review for test activities pre- and post-events. Providing lessons learned inputs and support panel reviews
- Plan mission asset activities through the Event Objective Worksheet (EOW) and detail in real time assets availability and support through the planning tools
- Produce test procedures, detailing time critical events supporting the Mission Countdown Events (CDE). Update mission documentation as calendar adjustments are scheduled
- Support test integration and planning meetings, BMDS CONOPS Phase Reviews, data archival meetings, as directed
- Setup slide-decks and coordinate with stakeholders on weekly or bi-weekly Mission Execution Team Working Groups (METWG)
- Support Mission Execution Team (MET) Test Directors on-console during mission execution phase
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field
- 0-5 Years Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Self-starter
- Knowledge of the Missile Defense System (MDS) capability
- Knowledge of MDA test planning and execution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project desired
- Comprehensive knowledge of Flight Test Operations is highly desired
