Astrion is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide direct Assessment & Authorization (A&A) support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for all mission systems within the directorate. This includes cybersecurity analysis and engineering support for the secure operation of enterprise networks and critical mission data. The role will also involve maintaining and updating mission system schedules, databases, and security protocols as per DoD standards. This position is on STS-3 on which we are the Prime. TS/SCI clearance required.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- A&A Support: Develop, update, and accomplish eMASS entries and updates, staff A&A packages in compliance with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework.
- System Certification & Policies: Review and maintain enterprise mission systems certification policies, procedures, and reports.
- Compliance & Security: Register systems in ITIPS (formerly EITDR), ensuring compliance with FISMA; review and validate security controls.
- Vulnerability Management: Monitor and maintain the Vulnerability Management System; close out network scan findings and report vulnerabilities.
- Test & Evaluation: Conduct and document Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), physical security penetration tests, and assess the impact of new systems on security posture.
- Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate A&A schedules, report on system status, and review findings for mission system releases.
- 10 years of experience in a similar cybersecurity role with USSF or USAF.
- CompTIA Security or equivalent DOD 8570/8140 IAT/IAM certification.
- Experience working with eMASS.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (with current investigation).
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework protocols.
- Familiarity with USSF A&A procedures.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent (SANS GIAC).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
