Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Mid Level Boat Operator to support full life cycle technical support for all types of combatant craft, boats, watercraft, amphibious vessels/vehicles, Patrol Coastal Class ships, specialty craft/vessels, life rafts, inflatable craft, unmanned vessels/vehicles, and associated craft and mission systems to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division’s Combatant Craft Division

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Successful candidates will demonstrate prior experience in the operation of watercraft of various sizes.
- Active United States Coast Guard (USCG) Captain’s License is required.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
- High school Diploma, trade/industrial school graduate, or GED equivalent required.
- Current Secret Clearance
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Related military experience
- Experience supporting test and evaluation of maritime electrical and electronic systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Mid Level Boat Operator supports watercraft delivery; operates of watercraft to ascertain condition; operates watercraft for delivery or pick-up; and other watercraft operations as needed to support test and evaluation.
- The Mid Level Boat Operator will support operational performance analysis of watercraft prior to maintenance or system upgrade, to include support for certification of watercraft repairs, Test and evaluation of new watercraft, or other watercraft inspections and operational checks.
