Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber and Network Architect Principal to support the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases.

WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA

JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried

SECURITY CLEARANCE: An active US security clearance is required

JOB RESPONSBILITIES:

• Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes utilizing emerging technologies.
• Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository.
• Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture.
• Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture.
• Coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.
• Work with the Identity, credentials, and access management (ICAM) team to ensure cross division and cloud usability, both in the connected and disconnected state.
• Work to plan out and execute an executable DAF Zero Trust plan and roadmap.
• Work to put the division on the path of modernization specifically with regard to the divisions Digital Engineering using SysML.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Cyber and Network Architecture
• Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices
• Possesses experience in identifying technical acquisition strategy issues and proposing alternative solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in assisting with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
• Possesses proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills.
• Pertinent experience with an ACAT I, or equivalent, level program, including development of new programs with the Acquisition community.
• Pertinent experience in the development of RFP documentation and support of Acquisition Strategy reviews.
• Demonstrated experience in packaging and presenting briefings for senior level reviews.
• Demonstrated experience initiating and managing high visibility programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Advanced Degree (MS/MA) and 10 years of Cyber and Network Architecture experience (5 of which must be DoD)
