JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid)
JOB STATUS: Full-Time

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience performing general ledger functions for a US Government contractor in Costpoint.
- Proficiency in month/year-end close, audits, and general ledger functions.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively through complex scenarios.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills to reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare accurate journal entries in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare journal entries, with sufficient documentation, to ensure timely and accurate posting within the monthly accounting cycle.
- Assist in preparing monthly reporting deliverables by preparing relevant balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist the General Ledger team in maintaining internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with all areas of the organization to ensure consistency in processes, when applicable.
- Assist in supporting the annual financial statement audit process performed by the external independent auditors.
- Participate in ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested by management.
