This job is remote working in PST zone
Pay rate : $40 / hr.- $50 / hr.
Location : Remote but must be able to work in PST time zone
Job Type : 6-month contract
Key Responsibilities :
Process & analyze high-throughput sequencing data from various platforms
Test bioinformatics software, pipelines and workflows with different parameterizations and compare results
Package bioinformatics software, pipelines and workflows for distribution through Bioconda and container repositories
Write CI / CD Github Actions tasks for automated unit test running, compile time benchmarking, performance regression checking
Develop frontend data visualization components for proteomics and multiome data
Prepare bioinformatics data web apps (made with Dash, Shiny, Streamlit) for deployment on product
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Bioinfomatics, Computational Biology or related field 2 years of Biotech / Academia / Research experience
Proficient in a GNU / Linux command line interface and Python, Javascript
Experience with High Performance Computing Clusters (HPC) and job schedulers
Experience with bioinformatics workflow management frameworks (snakemake, nextflow)
CI / CD experience
Experience with front end development
Nice to Haves :
Experience with JS frameworks : React, Next.js, Node.js, d3.js, tailwind
Experience with AnnData format
Experience with variant cell format (VCF)
