Our client in Middlesex County, NJ is seeking an EHS Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from a pharmaceutical background with training that pertains to OSHA standards in a highly regulated environment.
Pay : $75,000-$85,000 yearly
Type : Direct hire
Responsibilities
Utilizes EHS technical theories to address practical challenges.
Efficiently executes multiple well-defined EHS projects and promptly documents the outcomes.
Gains familiarity with site processes, equipment, and EHS programs, collaborating cross-functionally to complete project tasks.
Oversees third-party vendors on-site.
Evaluates operations to ensure compliance with company and government EHS standards and regulations.
Conducts research and provides insights on EHS matters.
Develops EHS strategies to proactively address potential compliance issues before they arise and assists in resolving operational failures that could lead to EHS deficiencies.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to site operations, systems, and equipment.
Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical industry
Training in OSHA standards
Understanding of hazardous shipping regulations
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Direct experience in regulated environments (such as cGMP, OSHA, EPA) is preferred
Experience in a highly regulated environment is highly preferred
