Salary : 80-100k / yr.
Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like :
Innovation Leader : Lead research to develop new formulas for beverages, nutritional bars, and confections, expanding our product offerings while enhancing existing formulas to meet market demands.
Product Formulator : Create new products, including beverages and nutritional bars, based on input from Marketing and Senior Leadership, ensuring technical feasibility and market competitiveness.
Confectionary Creator : Use your knowledge of confectionery systems to develop innovative, delicious products that meet both sensory and nutritional standards.
Lab Guru : Manage the innovation lab, troubleshooting equipment and ensuring precise and efficient testing processes.
Nutritional Bar Specialist : Formulate products that align with current health trends, optimizing texture, shelf life, and taste through ingredient interactions in nutritional bars.
Sensory Expert : Lead sensory research sessions for beverages, bars, and confections, analyzing results to guide the direction of new projects.
Shelf-Life Specialist : Design and conduct shelf-life studies, ensuring products maintain quality and flavor throughout their life cycle, with a focus on nutritional bars and confections.
Presentation Pro : Present findings and new product concepts to the product development team, senior leadership, customers, and suppliers, with a particular focus on nutritional bars and confections.
Regulatory Whiz : Stay up-to-date with regulations, ensuring all formulations—beverages, bars, and confections—comply with food safety standards.
Team Player : Collaborate with Procurement, Product Development, and other teams to source innovative ingredients, evaluate project costs, and stay on top of industry trends.
You’ll Shine if You Have :
Education :
Experience :
5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree, with experience in beverage, nutritional bar, and baked goods development.
Strong understanding of ingredient interactions specific to nutritional bars, confectionery systems, and beverage formulation.
Skills :
Expertise in beverage, nutritional bar, and baked goods formulation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and lab equipment (TA, Brix, RI, Density, refractive index, etc.).
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in developing shelf-stable products.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Interest in industry trends and new ingredient sourcing.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
