What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Specialist position at Astrix?
We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to support QA and EHS functions at a chemical manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards through audits, inspections, documentation, and risk analysis.
Contract, Pay up to $35/hour
**No Relocation, No C2C Candidates**
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Non-Conformance Reports, Root Cause Analyses, and customer compliance requests
- Manage compliance documentation (NCR, RCA, DORM) and document control
- Coordinate internal and supplier audits, support MOC processes
- Assist EHS with safety inspections (e.g., hazardous waste, stormwater, housekeeping)
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and review work permits
- Collect and process environmental samples
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910, ISO 9001, GMP; ISO 14001/45001 a plus
- Certified ISO 9001 Auditor preferred
- Strong detail orientation and MS Office proficiency
- Experience in QA and manufacturing preferred
- Ability to work in office and industrial environments
- Must lift up to 55 lbs and use PPE as required
