Our client, a world-leading medical device company focused on improving lives through innovative, consumer-centered solutions, is seeking a Maintenance/Industrial Mechanic to join their team.
Type: Contract
Pay: $35 - $38/hr
Work location: Fairfield County, CT
Duties:
- Perform regular equipment and machinery inspections to identify faults and potential problems.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform structured troubleshooting of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems, determining the best solutions for repairs..
- Replace or repair defective electronic components, including sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering tools, and diagnostic software.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to establish and implement maintenance procedures and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of machine/electronics maintenance experience in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of electronics principles, including circuitry, digital and analog systems, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the use of basic hand tools
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and specification sheets
