Our medical device client in Fairfield County, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment used in a production environment.
Type: 12-month contract
Pay: Starting at $30/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform regular equipment and machinery inspections to identify faults and potential problems.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and machinery, determining the best solutions for repairs.
- Replace or repair defective electronic components, including sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering tools, and diagnostic software.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to establish and implement maintenance procedures and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of electronics principles, including circuitry, digital and analog systems, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the use of basic hand tools
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and specification sheets
- Minimum of three years of machine/electronics maintenance experience in a regulated environment.
