Medical Technician (MT)

We are looking for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Graham, NC, as part of our mission to Improve Health, Improve Lives. In this role, you will contribute to providing quality patient care through accurate and timely lab testing.

Location: Graham, NC

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch break)

Pay: 25-26/hr

ASCP or AMT certification required

Job Responsibilities:

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with specimen processing when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of clinical lab testing experience with human specimens.
• Experience in laboratory testing is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
• Flexibility depending on business needs.
