Our Microbiologist position is a great opportunity to work with a leading Personal Care Company!
We are looking for a sharp professional that possesses these top 3 skills:
- B.S. in Biology/Microbiology
- 3-5 years (minimum) of bench work experience
- Experience in wet scales, plating, and sample preparation
Pay: $26-$30/hr
Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
Type of Job: Contract to Hire
Location: Onsite- (Cincinnati, OH)
At this time, Astrix cannot transfer nor sponsor a work Visa for this position.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Microbiologist Daily Tasks: What you will do:
- Participate in all aspects of microbial testing (i.e. media production, PET, Celsis, APC, & Enrichment, & any miscellaneous testing)
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & safety precautions as outlined by the Plant Leadership via written procedures & safety standards (i.e. SDS).
- Report all out of specification (OOS) results to a QS Leader or designee.
- Support the initiatives of key manufacturing & quality personnel, such as obtaining environmental samples for process improvements or water sampling.
- Ensure the good maintenance-state of the appointed laboratory instruments.
- Supporting the auditing of key manufacturing & quality processes, including data entry of environmental or product samples.
Microbiologist Qualifications/Requirements:
- B.S. in Biology or Microbiology required
- 3-5 years’ experience with bench work is required
- Experience in wet scales, weighing, plating, and prepping samples is a plus!
