Our client - a global pharmaceutical powerhouse - is seeking a Scientist to join their growing team.
Location: Rahway, NJ or North Wales, PA
Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $53/hr
Responsibilities:
- Execute in vitro assays to support Neuroscience drug discovery programs.
- Develop and perform cell-based assays using various formats such as immunoassays, Western blotting, real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR), and immunofluorescence.
- Maintain and culture mammalian cells.
- Utilize molecular biology techniques, including transfection and RNA extraction.
- Process in vivo samples for pharmacodynamic assessments.
- Work in a BSL2 laboratory setting, following safety protocols.
- Analyze data using GraphPad Prism and maintain records in electronic lab notebooks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in cell-based assays and mammalian cell culture.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques.
- Knowledge of Neuroscience, particularly related to neurodegenerative diseases, is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
