Our esteemed client, a trailblazing global pharmaceutical powerhouse, renowned for their expertise in developing and manufacturing a wide array of world-class pharmaceutical drugs, life-saving vaccines, and innovative animal-health products, is in search of an exceptional Scientist I to join their dynamic team.
Contract: 1 year with possible extension
Location: Lansdale, PA
Pay: 30-36/hr
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute assays to predict drug candidate disposition and assess drug-drug interaction potential related to drug-metabolizing transporters.
- Generate high-quality in-vitro data to support project teams across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Perform in-vitro assays using a variety of cell-based systems, demonstrating independent bench-level expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results in complex biological systems.
- Contribute to complex research projects, ensuring timely and accurate data reporting.
- Maintain clear communication through written and verbal reports to communicate findings and progress.
Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 0-3 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Expertise in cell culture, including routine maintenance using aseptic techniques and ability to perform experiments according to established protocols.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment and delivering results in complex in-vitro biological systems.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills using tools such as Excel and GraphPad PRISM, with the ability to document and report results.
- High degree of autonomy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in conducting in-vitro drug transporter or metabolism studies, such as substrate phenotyping and inhibition assays, in recombinant cell lines, vesicles, primary hepatocytes, or comparable cell-based systems.
- Experience with automation and/or developing complex liquid handling methodologies for in-vitro experiments.
- Basic understanding of quantification methods using radiometric or LC/MS techniques.
