What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Production Technician position at Astro Machine Works Inc?
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Saw Operator to join our team at Astro Machine Works Inc.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating power saws, precision measuring equipment, and computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate battery of circular saws, bandsaws, belt sander, and tumbler
- Reads blueprints for job specifications
- Utilizes precision measuring equipment
- Unloads all incoming steel trucks and properly marks material
- Receives raw materials, issues raw materials, and closes out operation in the computer system
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess and maintain a valid PA driver's license with safe driving history
- Experience operating a saw, hand tools, etc.
- Experience with forklift, tow motor, pallet jack
- Understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments
- Computer skills
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions, to communicate effectively with transportation vendors, and legibly complete required paperwork
