We are seeking a Full Saw Operator to join our team in Ephrata, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating power saws, receiving inventory, and deburring/finishing parts.
Schedule and Compensation:
This is a first-shift position with core hours approximately 6AM-3:30PM. Flex schedule is available, and overtime is required as well as occasional Saturday 4-hr AM shifts. The hourly wage range is $20-24 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Operates battery of circular saws, bandsaws, belt sander, and tumbler
- Reads blueprints for job specifications
- Utilizes precision measuring equipment
- Unloads all incoming steel trucks and properly marks material
- Receives raw materials, issues raw materials, and closes out operation in the computer system
- Deburr all parts in their finishing steps
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- May assist maintenance personnel with saw maintenance and repair
- Works in a safe manner always following established policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess and maintain a valid PA driver's license with safe driving history
- Experience operating a saw, hand tools, etc.
- Experience with forklift, tow motor, pallet jack
- Understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments
- Computer skills
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions, to communicate effectively with transportation vendors, and legibly complete required paperwork
- Customer Service Skills for internal customers
- Willingness to work Overtime and Saturdays as required
- Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather
Salary : $20 - $24
