POSITION OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for overall Operations within our California Cleanroom located in Downey, California. Our AS9100 registered California facility houses ISO certified Class 5 & 6 cleanrooms and labs. Providing leadership to 3-5 direct reports, the Production Manager will have overall supervision of over 40 people. Responsibilities include consistently improving throughput and maintaining on-time delivery while complying with all QMS requirements and managing the team in such a manner as to execute with excellence and create an exceptional experience for the customer.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Manage and oversee all facility operations including Preclean, LCC, Lab, Packaging, and Cymer cells
- Execute the production schedule to meet and exceed customer on-time delivery requirements while balancing production floor capacity with a dynamically changing order mix
- Engage directly with customers regarding orders, assisting in resolution of any issues which delay order completion
- Develop and track KPI’s to provide clear visibility into operations process and execution
- Implement service strategies that drive improvements in customer satisfaction and communication
- Identify new equipment and processes to improve Astro Pak’s service offer ability
- Key stakeholder in process improvement, quality corrective action requests (CARs), and project risk review and estimating efforts
- Direct Cost Management
- Effectively manage direct labor and material costs to align with plant and company goals and objectives
- People Management
- Proactively model Astro Pak’s vision, mission, values and desired culture to team members
- Actively lead the Operations Team including staffing and performance, team member skill and career development, motivation, performance evaluation, salary planning, work prioritization and technical oversight of work product.
- Provide daily active presence in each cell engaging with team members and pulling orders to completion
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Facility, and Sales teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of goals
- Lead and support HR with team member administrative tasks including staffing, discipline, timecards
- Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws

- Lead team members in one on one’s, team meetings, and effective career coaching
- Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comply with all QMS and safety policies, practices, and procedures
- Ability to problem solve and lead others in problem solving process
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field preferred.
Related Experience: 7-10 years prior manufacturing, production, or operations management. Precision Cleaning and/or Cleanroom experience required. Should also demonstrate prior job stability & dependability.

Salary and Benefits:

The pay for this position has a salary of $115,000 to $125,000 annually. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
