Position Overview:

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the Houston area to work in a contract position, a PT Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare and physical therapy settings. Must possess current Texas PTA license, and CPR certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the Physical Therapist for treatment plan adjustments.
• Teach patients proper exercise techniques and safe use of equipment.
• Educate patients and families on strategies to maintain and improve independence and reduce risks for falls and hospitalization.
• Provide accurate and timely document treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Create a positive and encouraging environment for patients during therapy sessions.
• Support patients in achieving their therapy goals with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
• Active PT Assistant License
• Active CPR Certificate

Employment Details:

• Position Type: Contract
• Compensation: $50-$55/hr (based on experience)
