Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Production Control Specialist to bring their expertise to our team of diverse, professional problem solvers in our Production Planning Group in Kirkland, WA.

JOB SUMMARY
As our Production Control Specialist, you will review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules while conferring with cross-functional teams to determine progress of work, and completion dates, and problem resolution. This role will provide work leadership to others in Production Control, represent Production Control through participation on cross functional teams, and be assigned complex and high visibility commitments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Production Control Specialist will focus on Cabin, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Airborne Power & Control (APC) products. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting analysis to provide product lead times, coordinating with the Master Scheduler as necessary.
- Managing and reporting on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
- Acting as the Production Control representative during customer source inspections.
- Mentoring junior and senior Production Controllers and addressing their escalated issues.
- Independently managing NPI products by leveraging in-depth knowledge of NPI processes and best practices.
- Guiding cross-functional team members through the NPI introduction to production using extensive knowledge of production processes.
- Advising the Master Scheduler on potential production schedule disruptions.
- Strategizing the ideal implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for APC, Cabin, and NPI products.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to develop precise ERS routings, recommending adjustments that align with production specifications.
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma required
- APICS or related certification preferred.
- Demonstrates high aptitude (typically 8 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
Technical Skills:
- Database user interface and query software
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP)/ Material resource planning (MRP) software
- Office Suite Software (advanced knowledge and skills)
Work Environment:
- Lifting heavy items (typically 25 lbs.) on occasion.
- May require valid driver?s license in support of other AES sites and outplant facilities
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base salary range is $79,293 - $118,940 per year.
