- Kirkland, WA
- Hours are on 1st Shift, Monday ~ Friday, eight hours per day with a 30-minute meal break.
- JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector will work from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures to perform a wide range of inspection procedures and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements at various stages of production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWorks from drawings, procedures, and specifications utilizing non-complex measuring devices (where necessary) to perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, electronic hardware, circuit card assemblies and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractorsInspect in-process and / or finished production assemblies and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and quality assurance standardsAssists in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspectionInterpret and apply the requirements of Industry workmanship standards, ES procedures and EPS procedures in Inspection processIdentify condition (problem) and write up Non-Conformances in clear concise wayReview validates and correct FAI paperwork from suppliersMay perform Shipping Inspection duties such as verification of shipping paperwork, part labeling, part count and packagingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation / Experience :High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)Experience with circuit card assembly (CCA) inspection is requiredTechnical Skills :Quality Control Analysis Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performanceFamiliarity with IPC standards and proceduresExperience conducting visual and first-article inspectionsSkilled in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and AOIs, etc.Proficiency with MS Office products to include the ability to use MS ExcelAbility to learn a variety of business systemsStrong attention to detailEMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSAs a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by _International Traffic in Arms Regulations_ (ITAR).Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen anddrug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.Base salary is $20.12 - $27.22 per hour.Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.Astronics AES offers a competitive benefits package including :Stay HealthyHealth, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA, HSA, as well as voluntary life / AD&D, voluntary critical illness, accident prevention and hospital indemnitySave for the Future401K & Employee Stock Purchase PlanFind BalanceEmployee Assistance Program, work / life balance cultureTime for YouGenerous Paid Time Off, starting at 120 hours annually, plus 12 Paid Holidays per yearPosition Requirements
