Description
Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems is seeking a Senior Safety & Reliability Engineer to join our Cabin Electronics Product Development Team in Redmond, WA . This is a hybrid on-site position that offers flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week. A fully remote option may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Safety and Reliability Engineer participates in the development of Cabin Passenger Power and Service Systems equipment for Air Transport Aircraft, performing analysis and creating documentation to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and customer reliability and safety objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the development of LRUs for Air Transport Aircraft.
- Perform Reliability, Hazard, Failure Mode and Effects and Fault Tree Analyses and LRU designs to regulatory and customer Reliability and Safety objectives.
- Collaborate with the Design Engineers to ensure reliability and safety requirements are adequately addressed in product implementation during preliminary design.
- Create and coordinate peer review of FMEA and LRU Safety Assessment document deliverables.
- Perform hardware fault insertion plans and procedures for lab tech to carry out.

EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Salary range is $102,687 - $154,031 per year .
