Astronics SubsidiaryAstronics AES LocationKirkland, WA DescriptionAstronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Staff Integration & Development Test Engineer to join our cohesive team of professional problem solvers in Kirkland, WA.If you are interested in working at a dynamic company with a winning culture which has been awarded as one of Washington’s Best Places to work for 15 years consecutively, please read on!JOB SUMMARYThe overriding business objective for the Staff Integration Engineer will be to support the design, development, and test of innovative aircraft Power Systems.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and revise complex system integration and development test procedures, perform complex tests and document results from lab and aircraft testingPrepare and review custom test equipment drawings and designsCoordinate and track formal test equipment drawing release processSupport less experienced engineers on custom test equipment designAnalyze and solve complex technical problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors, partially through use of test data and specification requirementsOrganize and analyze data and document results using a variety of data plotting and analysis tools. Review results to ensure their accuracy and appropriatenessPerform system integration and development testing and troubleshooting using custom test equipment and standard lab test equipment. Define standard and custom test equipment to support problem discovery and isolation.Define standard and custom test equipment to support integration projects and development projectsPrepare and present complex technical information of diverse scope for internal and external engineers, program personnel, and other internal and external customersGuide technicians and engineers in performing system integration and unit level development test and custom test equipment buildsSupport selection and provide guidance and review of external suppliers of test equipmentDevelop software programs and use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systemsSupport system, environmental and electromagnetic interference testing of aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution equipment in the APC departmentPrepare and review system and unit level test procedures and reports for aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution equipmentSupport DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461 testing on aerospace electrical power equipmentDevelop and review development and qualification test procedures for environmental and EMIMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation / Experience : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or related technical discipline requiredDemonstrates proficiency ~ typically eight (8) or more years of direct experience in the duties & responsibilities of the position.EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSAs a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.Base salary range is $122,003 - $183,004 per year.
