What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Coordinator position at AstroTurf?
Job Purpose
AstroTurf is seeking a highly-skilled, detail-oriented accounting coordinator. The accounting coordinator will act as a point of contact between the regional operations team and the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and external parties, such as customers and vendors. This role will handle bookkeeping and resolving discrepancies for the projects being executed in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze, and report financial data.
- Preparing and submitting construction AIA and sales billings.
- Assisting with identifying and resolving project discrepancies.
- Act as a point of contact between accounting and external parties, including customers and suppliers.
- Ensure that all project financial records are complete and accurate.
- Ensuring that region’s bills are paid, and debts are collected.
- Coordinate paperwork for incoming contracts/projects/bonds

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- Superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
- Experience working in construction or similar industries preferred.
