How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Senior Estimator position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our project bids. .
How youwill do it:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and materials required for each project.
- Collaborating closely with sales, design, and production teams to gather essential information for accurate cost estimation.
- Utilizing industry-standard software and tools to create detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
- Establish favorable relationships with vendors and contractors. Request quotes for freight, graphics, turf removal, installation, shock pads, and subcontractors.
- Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Generating comprehensive bid proposals and presenting bid packages to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Work with multiple departments in reviewing necessary elements of the project until completion.
- Verify tax information and area wage rates.
- Reviewing and revising estimates as necessary based on client feedback and project changes.
- Review and verify margins with sales team.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive bidding.
- Supervise regional estimators.
- Review scope of work for all regional office bids.

Qualifications
What success looks like:
- Years of Related Professional Experience: 2 years of experience in related field.
- Excellent communication skills - proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, presentation skills, build and nurture cross functional relationships.
- Think critically - questions, challenges, looks for other ways to accomplish goals.
- The ideal candidate would also have a deep love for sports and a passion for competition.
- Equal ability to fit into a team or to work alone while exuding a positive attitude.
Skills for Success
- 2 Years of Related Professional Experience
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Courses/Certifications/Training/Qualifications
- Ability to read construction documents and have an understanding of the athletic field and their functions.
- Ability to evaluate, quantify and capture specification requirements within an estimate.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with people including but not limited to Owners/General Contractors/Construction Managers in a variety of circumstances and from various backgrounds.
- Possesses excellent organizational and item/self-management skills.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate, multi-task, and complete work assignments within deadlines.
- Courses/Certifications/Training: Certified Field Builder license.

Salary negotiable
Bonus Plan
Travel: 5%
Location: Northwest Region
Annual Incentive Eligibility:
This position is eligible to participate in AstroTurf Corporation’s Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) AstroTurf Corporation achieving its' corporate and business level financial objectives.
