Job Description
The Astyra Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders on construction sites.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction safety principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and codes
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with contractors and project managers to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and codes
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field
- 5 years of experience in construction safety, including 3 years as a lead safety professional
- Current OSHA 500 training course designation
