Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our team at the Astyra Corporation. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders on construction sites.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction safety principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with contractors and project managers to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and codes
- Conduct regular site visits to identify and assess potential hazards
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience serving in the role of an owner's safety representative
- 1-3 years of experience in a utility/industrial environment
