Job Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Analyst to join our team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to generate meaningful insights from data.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Market Research: Design and implement surveys, focus groups, and other research methodologies to gather data on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
  • Survey Programming: Develop and manage surveys using Qualtrics or similar platforms. Ensure surveys are designed to capture relevant data and are user-friendly.
  • Field Management: Oversee the fieldwork process, including coordinating with external vendors, monitoring data collection progress, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize statistical software and tools to analyze research data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights. Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.
  • Report Development: Create comprehensive research reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Use visual aids and data visualization techniques to enhance understanding.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to understand their research needs and provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research data. Conduct regular reviews and audits of research processes and outputs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest market research trends, tools, and methodologies. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance research practices and deliver more value to the organization.


Qualifications:

  • A college degree in statistics, marketing, or a related business or science field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a consumer insights/market research-related position.
  • Proficiency in programming, particularly with Qualtrics.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to generate meaningful insights from data.
  • Excellent communication skills for gathering information, interpreting data, and presenting results.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of precision in data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Applicants should live in the Chicagoland area, as ASUG is a hybrid workplace that requires two days a week in the office.
