Job Overview:
Founded in 2005, ASun Star provides services to individuals (adolescents, adults) and families within our
facility and within the families’ home, school, and/or community. We utilize a strength-based approach
and are dedicated to helping our families succeed within their respective community. We strive to help
each individual to be “their biggest star” by striving towards their fullest potential and accomplishing
goals that they have identified. We specialize in working with at-risk families and individuals diagnosed
with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
The Program Coordinator of Adolescent and Adult Services oversees the day-to-day operations of the
department. They implement program policies and ensures that compliance mechanisms are consistently
followed. They also manage communications and schedule and organize events or meetings related to the
program as well as employee schedules. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the operation of
multiple programs that may be running simultaneously. Currently, ASun Star provides facility-based
services including: Day Hab, Afterschool Program, Summer Programming, and Weekend Programming
to Adults and Adolescents.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and experience working with DDD (Dept. of Developmental Disabilities) and DCF (Dept. of Children and Family).
- Experience managing adult services such as: Day Hab and/or adolescent services such as: afterschool and summer programming.
- ABA and/ or Behavioral experience preferred
- Helps create and/or collaborates on Behavioral Support Plans (BSP)
- Oversees implementation of Behavioral Support Plans (BSP) and tracked data
- Supervises the department staff and direct support staff providing services.
- Helps recruit, hire, orient, and train new staff.
- Collects daily measurement tools from direct support staff and tracks/maintain program utilization.
- Provides outcome and trend analysis through a continuous quality improvement system.
- Tracks trends, data, and outcomes to ensure that the programs are meeting dept and agency goals.
- Creates department policy and procedure.
- Communicates with all staff, families, school staff as needed, and actively coordinates and collaborates services.
- Creates and tracks metrics and dept goals.
- Tracks and oversees QA of programs.
- Oversees incident reporting and UIRs
- Coordinates and collaborates with agency depts to ensure continuity of services
- Completes dept staff evaluations and tracks individual staff metrics performance
- Develops, creates and/or oversees curriculums for dept programs.
- Increases participation and census of programs.
- Coordinates all activities that supports all program and community events.
- Ensures that program adheres and maintains a proper staff ratio.
- Ensures that department and direct care staff adhere to company policies, program rules, and dept/company policy and procedure.
- Promotes and markets programs within the community.
- Outreaches and collaborates with other organizations and community partners.
- Drives and encourages parental involvement within the programs.
- Tracks all interactions with the stakeholders.
- Links participants to additional resources.
- Attends trainings, supervisions, and conferences as needed.
- Any additional tasks/programs assigned by executive team
Requirements
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective & proven leadership skills with 10 staff members or more.
- Excellent Oral and Written communications skills.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Proven ability to work well under-pressure.
- Ability to provide on-call services to Facilitators, referral sources, and families.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
- Master's Degree within the human services/social services/behavioral health field(s) preferred.
- Behavioral Analyst (BCBA/ BCaBA) or Registered Behavioral Tech (RBT) preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the human services/social services/behavioral health field(s).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- ABA and/or Behavioral Experience preferred
- Ability to oversee the implementation BSPs (Behavioral Support Plans) and data
- Proficient experience using Google, Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s License required
