This is a remote role with the ideal candidate location being in Dallas / Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities
Define the product roadmap for payroll and tax solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensuring features support regulatory compliance, improve user experience, and optimize payroll efficiency
Stay updated on industry trends, tax regulations, and payroll best practices to maintain product relevance
Collect and document detailed business and technical requirements from stakeholders
Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, impact on compliance, and customer feedback
Manage and update the product backlog regularly to reflect changes in priorities
Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver new payroll and tax-related features, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines
Lead product feature testing, review results, and ensure alignment with the initial requirements
Keep abreast with Agile / Scrum best practices and new trends
Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, changes, and future enhancements
Work with teams to ensure proper security measures are in place to protect sensitive payroll and tax data
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, software development related field, or similar work experience
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Manager, preferably within payroll, tax, or financial software
Strong understanding of payroll and tax processing systems, regulations, and compliance requirements
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams
Ability to translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable product plans
Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
Knowledge of payroll software platforms
