What you will be doing:
Asurion is seeking a skilled Content Writer who will be excited about ensuring the content we create brings our technical support team’s vision to life. You will team up with designers and other writers to develop content for our database to ensure it is delivering information to internal experienced professionals efficiently and effectively. Content databases don’t scare you—in fact they inspire you to strategize how to make them most useful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, write, edit and organize internal support content that is user-friendly and value-driven
- Identify gaps in existing content library and create new content based on technical needs
- Someone with deep experience writing for both an end user and technical support audience
- Optimize and manage content database with large volume, collaborate with the content team to craft strategy, then implement solutions
- Brainstorm new content ideas and strategize with managers and designers
- Monitor and report the performance of content across multiple channels and lines of business
- Work with designers to create the look and feel for content items and experiment with different mediums (text, video, imagery, etc.)
- Measure / track content performance identify engagement trends, and work with analysts to determine business impact
- Partner with multiple teams across the organization to identify new opportunities and resolve big problems for our users
Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s in Journalism, English, or any applicable mass communication discipline is preferred
- 1-3 years of experience writing content, including technical support content
- Excellent writing skills and experience with a love for data. Thorough familiarity with grammar conventions and Chicago Style
- Excellent background managing large content databases, strategizing and executing database ownership solutions
- Ability to roll with the punches and create innovative content for any type of technology
- Creative and out-of-the-box thinker
- Quick learner with a thorough grasp of technical concepts
- Understands the user experience and can relate to users
- Team player, works well with people and open to feedback
- Background with Word Press; Algolia plus
- SEO experience
