At Attention Dog Training is a rapidly growing company that conducts training for local clients primarily on the topics of puppy training, obedience training, and behavior modification. We utilize a evidence-based, force-free, pain-free, and fear-free method of dog training.
Our primary mission is to provide people with the highest level of training for their dog(s) to ensure that the human-dog relationship is fulfilling. We aim to keep happy dogs in happy homes.
We are looking for candidates who want to work in the rewarding environment of training dogs.
At Attention Dog Training seeks to hire a professional dog trainer who has completed an approved dog training certification program.
Programs include:
-Victoria Stilwell Academy
-The Academy for Dog Trainers
-Karen Pryor Academy
-Catch Canine Dog Trainer’s Academy
-Other similar science-based educational schools may be considered on a case-by-case basis
-CPDT-KA will be considered on a case-by-case basis
The candidate will use a philosophy and method rooted in positive reinforcement training. AADT trains all types of dogs and focuses on puppy training, obedience training, manners training, and behavior modification.
Since we are a force-free training company, we will not utilize tools such as the e-collar, choke collar, prong collar, or other aversive tools/techniques, ever.
Essential Functions
1. Private training classes for clients.
2. Group training classes for clients.
3. Working with other trainers of the company for certain cases.
4. Preparing and presenting approved materials to clients.
5. Traveling to designated locations up to 25 miles around our central office.
6. Conducting behavioral assessments of dogs.
7. Filing and retrieving documents, records, and reports.
8. Attending events on behalf of and with other AADT employees.
9. Must enjoy helping other people and their dog(s). This role is not for someone who only enjoys working with their own dog(s).
10. Must live within 10 miles of King of Prussia, PA.
11. Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
