Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide personal care assistance to a female senior in Galena, Ohio. Ideally the caregiver will be able to do a split shift in the morning for 4 hours from 8am-12pm, and again a 4 hour shift in the evening from 4pm-8pm. Monday thru Friday, but if available weekends we could add a weekend shift. If you just want either morning or evening you may still apply and we may need to hire two different caregivers. Care includes meal prep, showering and bathing, cleaning and companionship. We are looking for someone ASAP that is passionate about senior care, reliable, and great at what they do. Must have reliable transportation and hire contingent on passing background check. Non smoker, there is a cat in the home.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience as a caregiver
- STNA is preferred, or qualifying experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be reliable and have a positive attitude
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and light housekeeping
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Run errands as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor the client's health and well-being
- Report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor
