The Goals And Challenges Of This Role
- Implementation of the quality management system in accordance with the applicable standards and customer specifications, especially the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Work with QA to update and simplify quality management system and associated procedures.
- Prepare and maintain SOP’s. (AT&F Playbook)
- Assist in data collection for management review meeting.
- Provide technical support for the production and QC inspection teams utilizing knowledge of manufacturing and quality control processes.
- Weekly Quality Surveillance reports to assure compliance with our quality system.
- Charting, collecting and analyzing data (NCs/NCR, Beam FTT, RT FTT, etc.) to drive process improvements.
- Develop documentation of new and existing manufacturing processes (Manufacturing Work Center Operation Checklists, SOPs, Standard Work Instructions, etc.).
- Manage the Nonconformance/NCR systems including communications with production and support teams for disposition (via Closed Orders with Open Jobs Log, Pending Inspection/Open Nonconformance Log, Open NCR Log, etc.), accepting/rejecting nonconformances in the ERP system, and creating NCRs.
- Manage internal/ Customer corrective action including root cause analysis, containment actions, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and performance of follow-up activities to determine effectiveness.
- Facilitate the discussions and resolution of open Internal CARs with team members.
- Perform internal audits (AT&F Cleveland, AT&F Advanced Metals, and AT&F Wisconsin) to quality management system requirements for identification of improvements and deficiencies.
- Support customer visits including weekly surveillance activities, customer audits, and In-Depth Supplier Assessments (ISAs).
- Perform furnace chart reviews for heat-treatment performed at AT&F in accordance with the applicable specification.
- Approval of complex purchase orders including Level I material and all weld wire.
- Train quality management system requirements to all new team members.
- Other duties assigned as the business needs change.
- 3-5 years manufacturing, quality (especially ISO 9001:2015), or process improvement experience
- Prefer BS degree in areas related to manufacturing, industrial engineering, and engineering technology
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change throughout the organization.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and inspection equipment
- Detail oriented, fast paced, and self-directed
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
- Hands-on involvement in operations
- Strong communication skills
