Job Purpose:
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. The LPN will report directly to the Director of Nursing.
Skills/Qualifications:
LPN must be 21 years of age with a HS diploma and a Certificate of Practical Nursing and/or Associates Degree, and have a current unrestricted license to work in the state of Missouri and CPR certified.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing interventions in the treatment of the patient’s illness, rehabilitative needs and preventive care.
- Utilize a skilled approach in the provision of problem-specific therapeutic interventions, teachings and training activities in accordance with the plan of care.
- Explaining services by performing community outreach. He or she will provide education to the clients, hospital staff, physicians, community stakeholders on Home Care Services and the admission process.
- Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
- Confer with the RN supervisor regarding needed changes in the Plan of Treatment/Care.
- Provide nursing assessments and patient education.
- Treat wounds, change wound dressings, giving injections, administer enema
- Collect specimens from patients
- Administers medications and set up medication dispensers.
- Measures and records vital signs
- Reports and observed changes in patient conditions to the Director of Nursing
Salary : $25 - $50
