Job Purpose: At Home Care is seeking an EVV Billing Clerk (ENTRY LEVEL) to join the team! The primary role is to call and remind homecare Aides to clock in/out appropriately for their clients during service hours. This position is responsible for the research and validation when visits are made with our Clients. Data entry is the skill and attention to detail is a must.
POSITION SUMMARY: Medical Billing Clerk responsibilities include but are not limited to,
- Responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the EVV system.
- Monitors the EVV system, follows up with caregivers and attendants on any errors, reconciling all errors.
- Monitors the Call Dashboard according to agency policy, and documents in every visit each time an aide fails to call in or out for a visit
- Assures accurate entry of attendant.
- Communicates with the Case Manager and/or Home Care Manager regarding EVV issues.
- Assists in tracking trends and reporting on relevant maintenance and EVV issues to direct supervisor.
- Responsible for completing multiple reports of different data types and be familiar in Microsoft Excel navigation
- Tracks all missed visits documentation and ensures notation of the appropriate reasons and report the visits daily
- Providing technical support and assistance to our caregivers and staff members in utilizing the EVV system effectively
- Providing training and guidance on using the system, and ensuring compliance with EVV requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year of medical billing experience and/or exposure to want to continue utilizing those skills and growing your skill set in a medical billing role
- Able to work independently.
- Basic mathematical skills and data entry experience required
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office (Excel experience required)
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective organizational skills and time management with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal relations skills, including active listening skills such as giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.
