Position Overview
We’re seeking a motivated Sales Professional that strives to be the best each day. A candidate who is a self-starting, creative, enthusiastic, sales-based individual, motivated by internal standards of excellence to exceed customer expectations and achieve set goals. This will require excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to ask questions to understand the clients’ needs, quick decision making, problem-solving, and organizational skills. This position is for an experienced professional, preferably with sales and client management experience.
- NOT Required - Window treatment knowledge / interior design experience
- Required - Proven track record of high performance and professional references
- Please note: This is a full-time position in person at the Rapid City showroom Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Remote workers and 1099 applicants should not apply.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-store &/or in-home consultations for window treatments, 5 days per week
- Follow At Home Design’s sales process to help clients find the right product at the right price and close the sale in a timely manner
- Accurately and precisely measure for each product
- Prepare quotes within 24 hours (or less) of sales appointment
- Follow up with customers consistently
- Work with customers to resolve issues, should they arise
- Book blind cleaning services (end-to-end)
- Show initiative and creativity to generate new clients with marketing opportunities (cold calling included)
- Other aligning duties may be assigned
Skills and Qualifications for Position
- Minimum 3-5 years sales related experience
- Detail Oriented – focused and precise in measurements and math; you must be able to read a tape measure
- Communication skills – ability to articulate product’s pros and cons, converse in a friendly manner putting the customer at ease
- Technologically savvy – Ability to schedule appointments, prepare quotes, product research, etc. through multiple software programs and vendor portals (we use Apple products)
- Superior time management – organized and systematic, good follow up skills
- Valid drivers license and willingness to adhere to a national background check
- Customer Sales experience and an interest in interior design preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
