We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Healthcare Provider Financial and Billing Analyst. This role combines responsibilities in financial analysis with key duties in billing for in-home healthcare services for seniors in primary care, long-term care pharmacy, and personal care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in these areas, with proficiency in reporting, data analysis, business processes, and compliant billing practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis, including but not limited to revenue analysis, expense management, and financial forecasting.
- Prepare and analyze financial and clinical performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Utilize ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems to review and process medical claims.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, including claims submission, adjudication, and denial management.
- Resolve billing issues and inquiries from patients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare billing guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing within a primary care practice setting.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management, insurance processes, and medical claims adjudication.
- Advanced skills in Excel, good understanding of data model concepts, and familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting. Exposure with databases a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial and billing information.
- Collaborative team player with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

- Experience with healthcare EMR and billing software (Athena experience preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
