What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Houseman position at At Home Inn & Suites?
We are looking for someone who is ready to work and loves moving! Some of their skills include:
Stock housekeeping rooms
Help housekeepers with stripping rooms and preparing them for the guests.
Taking out alll Trash around the property picked up, parking lot and all walkways, Empty trash cans, and cigarette butt dispensers, wash off or mop sidewalk spills, be sure all windows clean, and rugs are straightened and empty A.C. rock pans.
Straighten up pool area and clean out any debris, in and around pool.
In season open umbrellas if not windy, put down when it is windy. Wipe down tables/chairs, and straighten all chairs, cushions and tables. Check all common area rooms, restrooms, guest laundry, breakfast area, stairwells, for trash and safety issues. While you are making your rounds carry out trash and take laundry down for housekeeping.
Blow all dirt and debris with blower around the buildings, blow away from doors. Blow all curbs, and if you see ant hills level and spray them.
Pull and spray all weeds in and around the property, in fence, between sidewalk cracks, and thorns in bushes. When you spray be very carefully, it kills everything within 6 inches of the spray.
Making sure there are no rocks, or mulch on sidewalks and walkways. Water all the outside plants in pots and any dead grass areas, in season, remove dead branches.
Clean and straighten the BBQ area, wipe down tables, and BBQ’s, also check and clean Ice machines.
Emptying all the trash buckets, and put new liners in them. Check the Kitchen and office area for trash to be taken out. empty every day.
Check the elevator, for cleanliness, and check everywhere for light bulbs out, replace them. Clean up around the trash container, and be sure all hoses are rolled up.
Making sure all the HK and maintenance doors are closed and locked, at all times.
Spray the bug spray around the buildings, where the concrete and stucco meet, and behind the bushes, everywhere at least twice per week.
When walking around the buildings straighten, shake the rugs and replace, or vacuum if needed.
Empty all cigarette dispensers, at least twice per week.
Check all thermostats in common areas be sure they are set at 70.
Look for safety issues we need to fix. When cleaning up the property clean it all the way to the road.
Be sure stairwells are clear and clean.
Keep all supply & maintenance rooms clean & organized, no trash, know the supplies we have and need.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
