A.T. Protective Services is seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to join our team in Elkridge, MD. This position requires operating a client-provided vehicle, so applicants must provide a CLEAN driving record. A clean background check is also required.
A valid Maryland Security Guard Card is required to apply. The guard card must be in hand or in process to be considered for employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Operate a client-provided vehicle while performing security duties.
- Perform routine patrols both in a vehicle and on foot throughout the duration of the shift.
- Monitor and control access to the property.
- Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report incidents.
- Address and remove trespassers or individuals behaving inappropriately.
- Secure exits, doors, and windows at the close of business operations.
- Review surveillance footage as needed.
- Assist customers and employees as necessary.
- Enforce parking regulations and address parking violations.
- Engage with individuals who may be agitated and use de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts effectively.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Maryland Security Guard Card (or proof of application in progress).
- Must provide a clean driving record (client vehicle use required).
- Must pass a background check.
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with surveillance systems and conflict resolution is beneficial.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills required.
