We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support the maintenance and development of critical corporate case management software and files, and managing complex, cross-functional projects to deliver significant business value.


The TPM is responsible for managing all aspects of our case management system (CMS) including user management, data quality, and ensuring front-end user experience, as well as overseeing the technical support and services rendered from integrated internal systems. The TPM will work alongside stakeholders from vendor companies and internal users, and will be responsible for managing the development team to ensure all backend aspects of the CMS are functioning properly.


The TPM is also responsible for monitoring and effectively communicating any changes to the CMS that may impact the business and team’s ability to leverage the tool, which may fall outside of normal business hours due to the global nature of the team.


The ideal candidate will be able to work well both autonomously and collaboratively, while managing multiple projects concurrently. They will possess a customer-first mindset, be flexible, have excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of emotional intelligence. The ideal candidate will also understand technical concepts (particularly in an AWS environment) as well as have strong administrative skills to drive change, and create efficiency and order in complex and sometimes ambiguous situations. A superior candidate will also have expertise in data analysis and data-driven reporting.

 

The salary range for this role is $87-$92K annually.


Responsibilities

· Use industry-accepted procedures to manage technical projects that support internal infrastructure.

· Manage projects and requests for vendors to implement software solutions and revisions to our CMS, including tracking and updating of open improvement tickets and comprehension of team development needs and implementation with the vendor.

· Work with engineers to understand and track necessary software updates and application changes within AWS cloud computing services.

· Work with the Project Management Team to implement necessary process or software changes to keep investigative processes moving forward and compliant with company policy and procedures.

· Update software manuals to reflect new changes, and work with leadership to educate the team of the new procedures.

· Utilize deep knowledge of the core system technologies and broad understanding of company systems/technologies and apply to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify technologies.

· Wield data for the purpose of optimizing its organization; reorganize data into a user-friendly and compliant format.

· Use metrics to evaluate critical functions of business performance that can be assessed, compared, and enhanced.

· Constantly analyze, develop, and maintain the database systems and processes data systems, including removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems with developers.

· Prepare reports and give presentations to leadership stating trends, patterns, and predictions of data management procedures.


Requirements and skills

· Technical program management experience in managed IT services, such as application and software development; cloud services industry preferred.

· Proven ability to manage databases/applications to optimize efficiency in the organization, searchability, maintenance, and storage of critical files.

· Understanding of software development and operations and maintenance of applications.

· Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure (e.g., RDS, S3, OpenSearch, AWS, etc.).

· 3 years’ experience using Microsoft Excel or other quantitative platforms to manipulate, quantify, and present data to stakeholders and leadership.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfort presenting in large groups and handling high-pressure communication with senior management.

· A proven track record for being detail-oriented and self-motivated and demonstrate follow-through on projects.

· Ability to work independently on projects while also understanding the importance of a team and teamwork.

· Ability to handle confidential information ethically, with the ability to remain impartial and report all non-compliance issues.

· Decipher the technical needs and translate them for technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple cross-functional teams.

· Help facilitate cross-collaboration and end-user training support.

· Capable of learning new skills and obtaining new knowledge in areas adjacent to those identified here, such as how software interfaces work between two dissimilar databases, untrusted networks, CCTV systems, delivering public presentations about technical and non-technical projects or services, or working with designers to communicate new tools, programs or initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

· 3 years’ experience using investigations and intelligence software.

· Technical knowledge of databases and respective architectures.

· Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, distributed systems, or similar engineering or technical product development.

· Prior experience using creative solutions to solve problems and accelerate programs.

· Knowledge of or exposure to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy regulations.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, ambiguous work environment.

· Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, object-oriented development, build processes, change control management, and release models.

· Experience working with law or policy for an organization.
