Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment for our guests. A successful Barista will have a love for coffee and a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience to every customer.

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate Toast Terminal and handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to maintain quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in cash handling and familiarity with cash registers;
- Background in the food industry or coffee preparation is preferred but not required.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Sales skills to promote menu items effectively and enhance customer satisfaction.

Pay includes tips from customers and servers. Everyone starts at the lower rate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
