As a Cybersecurity Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our communications strategy related to cybersecurity. You will be responsible for creating and managing content for emails, website updates, newsletters, and more. Additionally, you will assist in planning and coordinating events and live shows, including scheduling, scripting, and other producer duties. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about cybersecurity and has strong communication skills, and has plenty of creative ideas to share. Important to note that this role is not primarily a producer/production role. First priority is communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for cybersecurity initiatives, including communications plans, emails, website content, newsletters, and other communication materials.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.
• Assist in planning and coordinating events and live shows related to cybersecurity, including scheduling, scripting, and other producer responsibilities.
• Write and coordinate video scripts on various cybersecurity education topics to engage and inform our audience.
• Coordinate production of events and videos with partner organizations.
• Support the creation of educational content that promotes cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging.
  
  

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. This includes short-form script writing and creating rundowns for educational events.
• Demonstrable experience in organizing live events and webcasts.
• Demonstrable understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• 5 years’ experience in a related position.
• Proven experience in managing communication campaigns and developing communication plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex cybersecurity topics.

Our Lead Cybersecurity earns between $128,400 - $215,000 USD annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
