Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Adjunct Clinical Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Med Surg, Geriatrics and/or Acute Care, with the ability to educate and inspire students in the clinical setting. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting professionalism while utilizing learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging clinical experience that aligns with curriculum standards. OBN regulations and ATA policies and procedures.
- Educate students on critical care practices, anatomy knowledge, and patient care techniques.
- Facilitate discussions and exercises to promote hands-on learning.
- Assess student performance through assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering an environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the educational experience and curriculum development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a practicing licensed nurse in a health care setting.
- Strong knowledge of critical care, acute care practices, and anatomy.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to enhance instructional delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create an inclusive clinical environment that supports diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in education.
