We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
As a GNA, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Providing catheter care and ensuring patient comfort and hygiene.
- Supporting nursing staff in the delivery of patient care within a Level II Trauma Center environment.
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assisting in outpatient procedures and ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Educating patients and their families on health management and caregiving techniques.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with clinic protocols.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in caregiving or nursing assistance roles, preferably within a medical office or acute care setting.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or similar healthcare facility is desirable.
- A strong understanding of patient care principles, especially regarding pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
